The El Sobrante Library is located in a scenic valley east of San Pablo Bay. The library, built in 1961 and enlarged in 1975 to double its size, serves a community of 16,000 residents. Its public meeting room provides the space for local government agencies to hold their regular meetings, and is also used by many local civic groups. A wide variety of programs for children, teens and adults, monthly book and poetry discussion groups, as well as public internet computers, WIFI, and various formats of library materials.
