The Rodeo Library building was originally a schoolhouse built in approximately 1911. Original wood flooring, old wooden bookcases, antique lighting and an interior door with a lock designed for a skeleton key are part of its charm. It is now the smallest library building of all the Contra Costa County Libraries, but continues to serve a diverse population of approximately 8,700 people four days per week. Books, magazines, books on tape and CD's, videos, DVD's, compact discs, and CD-ROMS are just some of the materials available to children, teens and adults, along with Internet access on two terminals.
