Introducing Contra Costa County Library's New Fleet of Digital Bookmobiles!

August 12, 2010 – Contra Costa County Library is excited about its partnership with Tri Delta Transit to provide instant access to free audiobooks and library services on the bus. With "Snap & Go" mobile library service, Contra Costa County Library cardholders riding the bus can choose from over 550 audiobook titles to wirelessly download directly to their cell phone and immediately listen to as they continue on their journey. A great way to pass time on the bus!

  4. Select an MP3 audiobook to download and enjoy the ride!

The Library’s mobile site also provides access to hours and locations of community libraries, account and catalog search functions, reading recommendations, and a connection to live help by voice, text (SMS), and chat (IM). Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority (Tri Delta Transit) provides over 2,500,000 trips each year to a population of nearly 250,000 residents in the 225 square miles of Eastern Contra Costa County. Tri Delta Transit operates 15 local bus routes Monday-Friday, 3 local bus routes on weekends and holidays, commuter routes to Livermore, and Dublin, door-to-door bus service for senior citizens and people with disabilities, and numerous shuttle services for community events.

The Contra Costa County Library serves residents countywide with 25 locations, 3 Library-a-Go-Go book dispensers, and online library services available 24/7 at ccclib.org. Last year almost 4 million people visited the Contra Costa County community libraries and checked out over 6 million items.
